Whoa, where did summer go?
It’s been so so busy this year. After three months of feeling like I was going non stop, I decided it was time for a break. It’s hard for me sometimes to realize I’m burning out, and even a week at home can do wonders for the soul. So that’s where I’m at this week, and I finally have time to update my blog.
As soon as the Rome Collection from Closet Case Patterns dropped, I was on it. I purchased the entire digital pattern set and my first order of business was the Cielo Top in washed white linen from Blackbird Fabrics. Boy do I love love love this top.
I found this pattern to be really straightforward and expertly drafted. It was quick to work through and sew, which probably means I’ll be making more in the future. The crisp white linen was a perfect fit and I’m looking forward to when it softens more. For now it has kept me nice and cool in the LA heat.
To be honest, I’m not a crop top kindof gal. And I prefer that my clothes hug my curves as much as possible, but this top breaks all my rules. I think I may have been converted by the Cielo Top!
